28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Adventist Church

Currently, Adventists hold 28 fundamental beliefs that can be organized into six categories—the doctrines of God, man, salvation, the church, the Christian life and last day events. In each teaching, God is the architect, who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity. We believe that God Loves God is love, power, and splendor—and God is a mystery. His ways are far beyond us, but He still reaches out to us. God is infinite yet intimate, three yet one, all-knowing yet all-forgiving.

Partners or Protestors?

Liberty Magazine--On October 31, 1517, Martin Luther nailed his now-famous 95 theses to the door of the All Saints’ Church in Wittenberg, Germany. In his theses Luther remonstrated against the use of relics, usury, simony, nepotism, and the sale of indulgences. Initiating what in later years was termed the Protestant Reformation, Luther questioned papal authority, the dominant role of the church in society, and most important, the role of the church in defining the conditions of salvation. Through the Scriptures, Luther and other Reformers taught the five “solae”—sola fide (by faith alone), sola Scriptura (by the Scriptures alone), solus Christus (by Christ alone), sola gratia (by grace alone), and soli Deo gloria (to God’s glory alone). Because of the growth of various Protestant groups in the years following Luther’s remonstrance, European society was faced with the dilemma of how to re order society so as to accommodate most of these new religious groups.Read Article

For Greater Works: God Calls You to Blossom

Logos Article by Pastor Paul Scavella--Our conference is on the cusp of a series of evangelistic campaigns to be held in the churches. The possibilities are endless as we forge ahead with Christ our Lord. As we count our blessings, we are grateful for the privilege to be counted in this great work of saving souls. Our lives are gifts from a wonderful Saviour, given to honour and exalt Him; and by extension, to assist in the building of the body of Christ. Our lives are of great importance to humanity and to the nurture of God’s kingdom in the earth. Examine yourself and think of the many positive things that you enjoy doing or that you are capable of doing. Is there an additional or different offering we can give to Christ as we engage in spiritual warfare? With the spate of atrocities injected in our psyche, from hurricanes to earthquakes, we can foresee that His Kingdom is at hand. Read entire article
