Word SBC 88.3 FM Needs a Tower for More Power

We need $100,000 today to get our new radio tower.

We really do need a tower for our radio station, WORD SBC 88.3 FM, the leading Christian radio station in The Bahamas. It is owned by the South Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Help us replace the tower that was damaged during 2016 Hurricane. Many of you have been complaining about signal quality and we want you to work with us to meet this great need. Currently we are using the bottom half of the destroyed tower to attach our radio antenna and it is not high enough to cover the entire island. This is why in some areas the signal is weak or not available.

Breakdown of Cost:

  • $22,816 Purchasing of tower only ( ROHN Structure: Heavy duty 150ft self-supporting tower model SSV designed to support the antennas & transmission lines and to withstand 200 mph wind speed). Price subject to change.
  • $12,000 -- Shipping and Duty. Subject to change
  • $50,000 -- Constructing base for the tower (The base of the tower has to very strong to support this high tower)
  • $20,000 -- Erecting of tower (Rigger, crane, construction, etc)

Here's how you can help:

Donate today any amount to purchase WORD SBC Radio Tower.

  • You can place cash in your local church offering envelope and label it "RADIO TOWER"
  • You can bring cash or check to the Conference headquarters at 135 Tonique-Williams Darling Highway during working hours.

Make checks payable to South Bahamas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists

Thanks for your support
