Madeline Hanna Dies


Funeral will be on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church, 135 Tonique Williams Darling Highway. The homily will be presented by Pastor Leonard Johnson, president of the Atlantic Caribbean Union. Mortician: Rock of Ages Funeral Home. Internment at Wood Lawn Gardens.

Viewing on Sabbath, September 30th 12 noon to 4 p.m. At the funeral home. There will be no viewing at the church.

Madeline Hanna (June 2, 1935 – September 16, 2017), veteran teacher in the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Bahamas, has fallen asleep in Jesus (Saturday night Sept 16th) after several years of being handicapped by the Alzheimer’s disease. She was 82.


Her family is comforted by the memory of her life of service and her hope in Christ Jesus. Madeline’s immediate family includes the following. Husband: Royden Hanna, retired Adventist pastor. Children and their spouses: Martin and Henrietta Hanna, Haydn and Barbara Hanna, Betty Hanna, Edward and Dian Hanna, Esther and Delthony Gordon. Sisters and brothers and their spouses: Miriam Smith, Netta and Cliff Bowen, Althea and Wendell McMillan, Eris and Janet Moncur. Sisters and brothers in law and their spouses: Inez Moncur, Rose Moncur, Mildred Hanna, Emily Ferguson, Leon and Carolyn Hanna, Gerard and Doreen Hanna, Thelma Hanna, Alice and James Sands, Muriel and Orthniel Darling, Joan and Jeremiah Duncombe. Grand children: Pharez, Melody, Zachary, Dominic, Gabrielle, Jonathan, Hadassah.
