Laura Anderson Celebrates 100th Birthday

She is 100! Yes she is. Laura Anderson was honored on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, by the school named in her honor—Laura Anders Public Primary School, by celebrating her one hundredth birthday in a special service. She was born on February 13, 1918.

The principle of the school, Vernita Thompson, organized this special service that was well attended by friends and community members, in Bluff Eleuthera Methodist Church. Providing a message of thankfulness and encouragement was her pastor of the Bluff Seventh-day Adventist Church, Manasseh Simms. In the picture taken on the day of the celebration you can see her youthfulness. She is sitting with her daughter, Joan Gibson. Laura Anderson has a sharp mind and is very energetic. She loves to play dominoes and is still an active elder of the church.

Laura Anderson will also be honored on Sabbath, February 24th at Hillview Church during the Annual Adventist Law Enforcement and Civil Servants Service. She is the oldest serving local elder in the Adventist Church.
