Work in progress. Return here for updates January 3.
In celebration of the life and memory of his dear father the late Alfred A. A. Brennen, Barrington Brennen decided to wear his father's Masterguide uniform to work on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. It was a surprise to all workers at the South Bahamas Conference headquarters office.
To the left is a photo of Barrington in the uniform of his late father . This uniform is at least 35-40 years old. It was well kept with all the insignia including the "MV" (Missionary Volunteer) shoulder insignia, The nomenclature 'Missionary Volunteer' has now been replaced by "AY" (Adventist Youth). Barrington was able to wear the uniform without adjustments. It was well preserved over the years in a dry cleaning bag so all Barrington needed to do was to put it on.
The late Alfred Brennen was a very active and vibrant Pathfinder director, camper, hiker, swimmer, bush doctor, and so much more. He was very knowledgeable about the stars, weather predictions, and other related matters which he excitedly shared with anyone willing to listen. He enjoyed baking pound cakes for his friends, family and church members.
Elder B, as he was affectionately called, was very active Seventh-day Adventist and served as a church leader into his late 70s. Alfred Brennen died on November 23, 2015, at the age of 86. His dear wife, Mary Brennen, pre-deceased him on January 7, 2015, at age 86.
