Grace Daley Live From Hillview Church

Grace Daley spoke Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Paul Scavella is the pastor of the church.


Join us at the Hillview Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. to hear guest speaker, Grace Daley, from the United States of America. She will be speaking during the Divine Worship Hour. Paul Scavella is the pastor of the church.

The event will also be broadcast live over the Internet and recorded for future use on HopeTV 658 and WORD SBC 88.3 FM.


Grace Daley, the talented former professional basketball player, is well known on the court for the following accomplishments:

  • Three time All-American guard for Tulane University
  • Maintains the record at Tulane University as the leading scorer, for both male and female,
  • with 2,249 points
  • First round draft pick, and fifth overall selection in the 2000 WNBA Draft
  • Played in the WNBA for Minnesota, New York, Houston and Phoenix
  • Played in FIBA (international Basketball Federation) in Spain, Italy, France, Czech Republic and Russia and was MVP of various European teams.

Grace was raised in a Christian home and became obedient to the Sabbath approximately 10 years ago. She left her professional basketball career to faithfully observe the Sabbath and currently thrives in her career as a high school Advanced Placement English Language and Composition teacher. She also teaches American Literature, debate, and multimedia.

God has blessed Grace to excel for His glory as an educator:

  • First year teaching, she was nominated and awarded Rookie Teacher of the Year and a final 4 Golden Apple nominee for all of Marion county. As a kindergarten teacher she won teacher of the year for her school as well as becoming a Golden Apple recipient, meaning she is one of the top 5 teachers in Marion county (out of over 2800 teachers).
  • In her free time, she now plays with a new team, THE B.E. S.M.A.R.T. TEAM, providing FREE Christ-centered health education and exercise classes for the adults and youth in her community in Ocala, FL. She travels with her team in Florida, the USA ,and internationally, sharing the message of health and abundant living in a fun and creative new way.
  • Grace also is the Health Education Director for United Hands, Inc. and FreeD.O.M. Clinic USA. She travels around the USA and the world sharing the health message with all who receive the FREE medical, dental and optical services provided by the health care volunteers.
On a personal note, Grace enjoys writing poetry. She is a voracious reader of the Bible and books that promote Christian virtues. She especially enjoys audio books. For 2018, she is on pace with her goal to complete a new book every week. She has fun gardening, exercising and eating healthy, plant based foods, (especially fruit smoothies and peanut butter and honey sandwiches :-)).
