The South Bahamas Conference announces the passing of Brother George Zonicle. He passed away peacefully at his daughter’s residence on Saturday, August 29, 2015. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his children and other family members. God will uphold you at this time of grief and pleasant reflections.
The funeral service will be held at the Centreville Seventh-day Adventist Church on Fifth Terrace on Sunday, September 13 at 10:30 a.m. The pre-service will commence at 10:00 a.m. He served his God faithfully and now awaits His second coming. -Administration

Death Announcement of Pastor Roy A. Gordon
We regret to announce the passing of Pastor Roy Agustus Gordon who died on June 2, 2015 in Sunrise, Florida, after a brief illness. He was 73 years old.
Pastor Gordon died leaving wife Marjorie Elaine Gordon, children Roy Gordon Jr., Winston Gordon and Cynthia Gordon-Wellington, five grandchildren, brother Renford Taylor, Sister Maureen and other relatives.
Roy Gordon was born on June 11, 1941 in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica and was ordained to the gospel ministry on November 21, 1978. He was educated at Portland High School between 1963 – 1966 and completed his study for the ministry at West Indies Collage between 1966 – 1970. Gordon did his internship in East Jamaica Conference between 1970 – 1973 and went on to become an outstanding preacher and evangelist who with the help of the Holy Spirit, won hundreds of souls for the kingdom of God.
He served well as district pastor and later became Youth Director in East Jamaica Conference before leaving to serve in the Bahamas Conference and then in the United States. Gordon later returned to Jamaica where he eventually retired. He subsequently returned to the United States of America where he lived with his family until his passing.
On behalf of President Eric Nathan, administrators, office and pastoral staff of East Jamaica Conference, we use this opportunity to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of the late Roy A Gordon. We invite the church to lift up the family in prayer during this period of loss.
