The International Men’s Day (IMD) is a group of men that focus on promoting positive male role models and celebrating positive contributions made by men in our society while trying to improve gender relations and equality to eliminate discrimination against men. It is also our hope and goal to ensure safer and better communities and encourage young men to become leaders of society. This year our focus is on men’s health and wellbeing. International Men’s Day is celebrated each year on November 19th, in eighty countries throughout the Caribbean and the world.

I was listening to a friend make a presentation earlier during the pandemic and a key phrase that was made stuck with me: “A Crises Is a Terrible Thing to Waste”.  I believe that every opportunity that we receive should be used to benefit us and this ought to be done by using the tools that God has given to us. As I reflect on the above topic, 2Timothy 2:15 reminds us to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”.

Logos for November 7, 2020--Stretching Your Dollar During Covid -19. Covid - 19 has resulted in financial hardships for many individuals. As God’s children, we must remember the words of the bible as found in Psalm 37:25, “I have been young and now am old; yet never have I seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread”. The first thing that matters is that we maintain our spiritual relationship with God no matter what comes our way. We are to covenant with Him and be true and honest with Him. Secondly, we must remain faithful in returning to Him His tithes and freewill offerings. This should be set aside before any other spending takes place. In Malachi 11:3, the Lord says to us, “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts”. He has promised to take care of His own.
